Spring Into Spring With These Warm Weather Tips!

We’ve been waiting for the snow to melt, for the birds to visit our gardens again, for the greenery, and of course for the warm weather! Even though spring doesn’t mean high temperatures all the time, it still definitely means more sunshine and more daylight.

So how are you transitioning from winter to spring? Here are a few tips to help you spring into spring:

1. Plan your garden

Spring is the perfect time to plant some perennials, shrubs, and herbs. It is also the perfect time for tulips. If you are planning to redo your garden or backyard, add colours to bring a vibrant feel. The soil may need some refreshment, so till it before planting anything. Visit a garden centre near you to find the right tools and seeds/plants for your garden.

2. Set up your patio

Bring out all the patio furniture from your storage and set up your grilling space. Clean your grill and prepare it for your next BBQ night. Add little decor pieces and solar lights to make your patio look inviting for your guests. To make the most of the weather, spend more time outside than inside.

3. Change your interiors

Get rid of the dark colours in your house by switching to bright colours for your living space. Instead of maroons, dark blues, blacks, and browns, choose yellows, orange, greens, and light blue. Changing the colours of your drapes, curtains, sheets, and cushions will brighten the place up.

4. Spring cleaning

It’s time to go through your belongings and check if you really need everything you have. Clean the whole house, room by room, to welcome spring.

5. Check the pool system, batteries and filters

Take out your swimming pool for some warm weather fun! Also, use the change of seasons to check your smoke alarm batteries and filters in your air-conditioning unit.

6. Manage allergies

Transitioning into warmer weather is not easy for everyone. Some people are allergic to pollen and spend the season battling sneezing, watery eyes, irritation in eyes/nose/throat, and runny noses. It is best to stay indoors when there is a lot of pollen outside.

7. Take care of your skin

Winter makes your skin dry and dull. With spring’s warmer temperatures, your skin may break out due to increased humidity. People with sensitive skin may also get sunburns after being outside for too long on sunny days. Keep sunscreen handy. Also, switch your heavy moisturizer with a light one to avoid oil buildup oily on your face.

Conclusion

It is time to welcome spring with open arms. Let’s put the snow and ice behind us, and get out to feel the fresh air and sunshine on our faces.
