Winter Happenings in the Greater Toronto Area this Season

It’s November and the weather has been crazy! We’ve experienced record-breaking cold, heavy snowfall and snowstorm all in the span of one week and we’re probably already wondering how insane winter is going to be. Well, cold or not, Toronto is still determined to remember the festive mood and is already in full swing for the Christmas season. Walk around the city and the winter gloom is forgotten when you see the sparkling lights, Christmas trees and the snow that we just can’t stop admiring despite the havoc it wreaks.

Here are few happenings in and around Toronto that should not be missed!

Distillery Christmas Market

The Christmas market is open…once again. Get your snow boots and winter jackets on and get ready for a long walk in the Distillery District. Filled with food, shopping and fun, the place is almost magical with the Christmas decor and the snow on the sidewalks. 

Winter at the Museum, Mississauga

Prefer something indoors? Why not visit Bradley House, Log Cabin or Benares  Historic House and go back in time to see the winter lives of the early settlers or sample some old delicacies. Best way to have some winter fun and gain knowledge!

Imagine walking through the aroma of freshly baked Christmas goods. That’s what the Village of Sandalwood is offering this Nov 30. Get your shopping bags and get lost among the delectable dishes and Christmas flavours.

Black Creek Pioneer Village, Markham

Ever wanted to travel through time? Here is a perfect opportunity to step back into 1860s Ontario and that too, during Christmas. Visit this splendid outdoor museum which has been redecorated to reflect Christmas in 19th century Ontario.
