Winter Happenings in the Greater Toronto Area This Season

It’s November and the weather has been crazy! We’ve experienced record-breaking cold, heavy snowfall, and snowstorms all in the span of one week and we’re probably already wondering how insane winter is going to be. Well, cold or not, Toronto is still determined to keep up the festive mood. Here, Christmas season is in full swing. Walk around the city and forget the winter gloom when you see the sparkling lights, Christmas trees, and the snow that we just can’t stop admiring despite the havoc it wreaks.

Here are few happenings in and around Toronto that you should not miss!

1. Distillery Christmas Market, Toronto

The Christmas market is open once again. Get your snow boots and winter jackets, and get ready for a long walk in the Distillery District. Filled with food, shopping and fun, the place is almost magical with the Christmas decor and the snow on the sidewalks.

2. Winter at the Museum, Mississauga

Prefer something indoors? Why not visit Bradley House, Log Cabin or Benares Historic House? Go back in time to see the how early settlers got through winters or sample some old delicacies. This is he best way to have some winter fun and also gain knowledge!

3. Christmas Market, Village of Sandalwood Park

Imagine taking in the aroma of freshly baked Christmas goods. That’s what the Village of Sandalwood is offering this Nov 30th. Get your shopping bags and lose yourself among the delectable dishes and Christmas flavours.

4. Black Creek Pioneer Village, Markham

Ever wanted to travel through time? Here is a perfect opportunity to step back into 1860s Ontario. Visit this splendid outdoor museum which has been redecorated to reflect Christmas back in the day.
