If you have recently bought Starbucks’ 13.7 ounce Vanilla Frappuccino bottles with best-by dates of March 8, May 29, June 4, or June 10, do not drink them. The FDA has found glass in some of the bottles, leading to a nation-wide Class ll recall. This means the recalled products could lead to temporary health effects, but serious damage is unlikely.
Details About the Recalled Drinks
PepsiCo, which makes Starbucks’ bottled drinks, announced they were pulling the frappuccino drinks from stores and are not sold in Starbucks locations.
As of now, there have been no reports of customers affected or hurt by the drinks.
What to Do
If you have the recalled drinks in your fridge, do not consume them. Instead, return them for a refund. For questions, call 1-800-211-8307 and reference recall number F-0352-2023.
Other Recent Recalls
Other than Starbucks’ Vanilla Frappuccinos, there have been other major recalls.
In early February, Fresh Ideation Food Group recalled ~400 food items (sandwiches, yogurt, wraps, and salads) out of caution due to potential Listeria contamination. The recalled items were sold in stores across 10 East Coast states and Washington, D.C.
Fabuloso recalled ~4.9 million bottles of its multipurpose cleaner after some were found to have harmful bacteria that could cause infections in people with weakened immune systems.
As a generate note, if you feel like something is odd or off about a product, drink, or food item, don’t use/consume it. Also, make sure to keep updated on ongoing recalls.
