Mr. Paolo was about to record a video when he made the spontaneous decision to place his son on top of his piano to see his reaction to Bach.
“I chose to play Bach’s minuet because it is delicate and good music for relaxing,” Mr. Paolo told The Epoch Times.
Bernardo can be seen smiling and cooing as his father plays the note, and cries only at the end of the song.
Mr. Paolo, who is known as Lord Vinheteiro to his followers on social media, said that his son is always “happy to hear” the music.

“As a father and musician, it brings me great joy to see that my baby likes classical music,” Mr. Paolo said. “The time he spends with me strengthens our bonds as father and son.”
When the musician shared the video of Bernardo listening to his performance—with his over 7 million subscribers—it went viral. Many netizens took to the comment section to share their thoughts about the precious moment.
“Baby is clearly enjoying this,” one social media user wrote.
“Oh my… This is amazing. Beautiful music, beautiful baby, beautiful father,” wrote another. “The world needs as many fathers like you.”
While many fans enjoyed watching the video, Mr. Paolo said some complained that it was just noise to the baby.
Born on Feb. 7, Bernardo first heard his father playing classical music—a Mozart piece—when he was 1 month old.
The musician believes playing classical music to children and unborn babies can affect their taste in music as they grow.
“My mother used to listen to classical music since I was in her belly,” he said. “Maybe that’s why I like it nowadays.”

Mr. Paulo began his musical journey in 1987 with piano lessons. He started to pursue a career on YouTube, posting piano videos since 2008. Over the years, he’s had the honor to play music outside the country and has been able to make a living through music.
His hopes for Bernardo’s future include the possibility that he might follow in his footsteps.
“I imagine that if he continues to see me playing, he might pursue a career as children tend to want to imitate their parents,” he said.
In sharing his story, Mr. Paolo highlights the beauty of classical music.
“I would like to say that all parents should expose their children to classical music so that they get used to quality music early on and develop better,” he said.
