School is a place where children should develop mastery of subjects and life skills that will help them as adults. In reality, our current educational system just tests children’s memory. They do not focus on life skills to prepare children for later stages of life.<\/p>

Our intention is not to single out any organization or educational institution. Instead, our analysis is based on the\u00a0 educational system in general. We understand that some countries’ educational systems and certain schools may already teach what we are going to discuss. However, we focus on the vast majority of schools that do not teach these subjects.<\/p>

1. Time management<\/strong><\/h2>

The first item on the list is time management. Today’s children are unaware of the value of time management and how beneficial it can be throughout their lives. Teachers should arrange clear assignment deadlines and assist the children with prioritizing their tasks. This way, they can understand how to complete multiple assignments on time.<\/p>

2. Kindness<\/strong><\/h2>

People in today’s society require greater kindness. Covid-19 brought frustrations and worries about the future which continue even in our post-pandemic years. Teachers must teach and model tolerance in schools. If they notice unkind behaviour, they should simply talk to the child about their feelings. They should not tell the child their behavior is “bad” and leave it at that. Instead, teachers should be specific about what the child’s harmful action was and why it was bad.<\/p>

3. Self-care and mental health<\/strong><\/h2>

This builds on kindness. It is crucial for children to get in touch with themselves. Although people often talk about the need for self-care, few actually do it. Some examples of self-care are: giving yourself some alone time, journaling, doing hobbies you enjoy, taking breaks, and getting professional help if necessary. If teachers encourage children to begin practising self-care at an early age, it will be easier for them to continue the habit later in life.<\/p>

Mental health is a key topic that should be included in schools. Teachers and school staff should create safe spaces for children to freely talk about their thoughts and mental health difficulties. Schools should also have licensed psychologists and professionals. This will help reduce the number of youth suicides since children will get the help they need to work through their obstacles.<\/p>

4. Gardening<\/strong><\/h2>

Most people underestimate the value of gardening. It is a wonderful idea to create a home garden, but gardening can be difficult. Teaching gardening with chemistry in schools would help children not only gain the required skills but also teach them to be responsible and kind while being sustainable. It will also help with teamwork skills. Teaching youngsters about gardening and how it benefits our earth will build a feeling of responsibility in them.<\/p>

5. Household repairs<\/strong><\/h2>

Along with major life challenges, everyone encounters inconveniences. One of these concerns is not knowing how to fix house equipment. It’s much more unpleasant when you’re in the middle of using something and the item breaks down. Schools should teach children how to do basic repairs so they save money in the future when they buy their own house.<\/p>

When we see diseases spreading everywhere and that all “modern treatments” have lost their effectiveness, then we turn to natural healing methods. We should teach kids these methods. If they become unwell, schools can offer natural treatments. These will boost their immune system and lower their risks of being ill again.<\/p>

6. Personal finance<\/strong><\/h2>

Yes, money is important! But correctly managing money is complicated. Schools should teach children budgeting, saving, and money handling skills so they will be far more prepared to make good decisions with their own money as teenagers and adults.<\/p>

7. <\/strong>Socializing and networking<\/strong><\/h2>

Some individuals struggle with social skills when they leave school and enter the workforce. Some attend workshops on how to network in order to get a job. Another issue most youngsters face nowadays is learning how to socialize, especially in face-to-face settings. If schools teach children to practise proper communication, they will gain a key life skill and also become more competitive on the job market.<\/p>

We make sure we help not only the students with their lives but also society and the environment as a whole.
