Good Vibrations Only

At Green Schools Green Future, we believe in the power of positivity and manifestation through spiritual and emotional practices.

If taught from a young age, these are practices that can benefit your life for the long haul, and are essential to living a positive and healthy life.

In the current climate of our individual lives – as well as the life of our planet – it is easy to get swallowed into a dark and scary future. However, by implementing positive vibrations in your life, you can train your brain to wake up with a more powerful, enthusiastic, and energetic mindset.

Through lifestyle practices, and daily affirmations you can be on your way to a happier life, and what better time to inherit these practices than the start of a new year! Here are some daily tips and tricks that can get you on your way to raise your positive vibrations and to reap the rewards of these frequencies.

Practice gratitude

Many studies show that being thankful for the good things in your life is a great way to instantly boost your mood. By simply waking up and writing down, or saying five things you are grateful for outloud, you can start your day with a positive attitude. When things go wrong, you can remember the big picture and that there is a lot to appreciate in your life.

Meditation and mindfulness

Meditation is a practice that goes back thousands of years. Believed to have started as a religious tradition long ago, it has developed into a way for people to connect with their inner self.

Mindfulness involves focusing on what you feel and sense in the moment – without judgment. It is a way to relax the body and mind through easy breathing and is very helpful when it comes to reducing stress. While working or running errands, try to practice meditation even if only for a few moments throughout the day, and see your stress slip away. Being aware of your surroundings and your own feelings is a great way to boost  positive vibrations.

A topic that is not discussed nearly enough is self-care! In our world where our calendars are more impressive when full, and we run around all day trying to check off our to-do lists, we must remember to sometimes say “no”. You must be one with your body and understand when it needs a recharge.

Taking a hot bath or making time for yoga are great ways to raise your vibrations and important in keeping your mind and body connected. Listen to when your body needs a rest or recharge, and fuel it with positive frequencies even when relaxing through the music you listen to, the books you read, or the movies/TV shows you watch.

And always remember – when in doubt dance it out! If a dance party in your bedroom is what you need to cultivate positive vibrations, then turn that music up and let loose!

Sustainable foods are your friend

Being mindful and pushing yourself to eat healthy foods are part of cultivating good vibrations. The positive vibrations that come from eating foods grown in your own garden are immense, so enjoy the feelings and the great food!

The foods we put into our body help to energize us throughout the day – so be thoughtful about how you fuel your body each day. Intermittent fasting is a great way to hold higher vibrational frequencies as it decreases inflammation in your body, allowing it to heal and rejuvenate. High-vibe relationships

There is a famous quote by motivational speaker Jim Rohn that goes, “we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with”. This means that the thoughts, actions, and feelings of the people you are often around can reflect back to your psyche.

Be wary of the people you are around most and ensure they lift you up, and don’t drag you down. Knowing where to invest your time and energy is important when discussing the important relationships in your life. When you receive time, energy, and support back, you know you are investing in the right place.

Make friends with people you can share your good vibrations with, and who can share them back when you need to be uplifted.

Be one with nature

Just as we cultivate frequencies and good vibrations, the plants and animals around us do as well. By going out for a walk, or sitting in nature, you can reconnect your inner self with Earth. Benefit from the fresh air and vitamin D as the sun is the source of life’s energy so go out and absorb it!

If you want to feel really connected, take off your shoes and let your bare feet touch the ground beneath you. An act known as ‘grounding’ can really change your frequencies and connection of your inner self to the planet, which you can learn more about here.

And remember to leave your phone at home – you don’t need it when you’re enjoying nature!

Hit “pause” on your day

Lastly, we can often get lost in the hustle and bustle of the day. It is easy for our lives to become a schedule, which can cause a lot of stress and negative emotions to arise. Be mindful of these emotions and focus on cultivating positive vibrations instead. Small acts throughout the day, or a simple “pause” can give your body and mind the time it needs to reset and respond to adversity in a more positive and beneficial way.

So there you have it – a list of simple changes you can make in your life today. Positive vibrations live all around us, but you must have the mindset to be able to cultivate it. Use it in your everyday life, pass the ability on to your children, and we can build a future around happy, compassionate, and kind people who are sharing their positive vibrations onto others.

“Your mentality shapes your reality. When you stress out, things will stress out around you. Always control your thoughts and pacify any unnecessary stress. Control your vibrations and you are the master of your own harmony.”
